Rebecca Jordan-Turner

After logging countless hours in training and teaching both here and abroad, Rebecca happily calls Greensboro her forever home. She is recognized throughout the area as an expert in her field, and is sought after by professional athletes, dancers, traditional and holistic health practitioners, and everyone in between, of all shapes, sizes and ages. They come for her skill, knowledge, humor and compassion (and stay for the watermelon!). Trained in both Bikram and Barkan methods, she has created a unique hot yoga experience that is nurturing, healing, challenging and logical. From “gentle” classes to the traditional 26&2, every class has been designed so that Every Body is welcome Every Damn Day. Rebecca loves her two dogs, her two kitties, and her fur-ever husband, whom you’ll often see in class. She also loves her teachers, her students and her studio, and they love her back. Come join the Revolution!

Carmen Cavanagh

Carmen began her yoga practice many years ago to complement her belly dancing passion. She fell in love with hot yoga and Bikram yoga, and began practicing with Rebecca in 2013, before RHY was even open. Those first classes were held in the master bedroom of Rebecca’s house, and Carmen’s dedication was evident from the start. In 2014, Carmen became the very first graduate of RHY’s Teacher Training program. She has been a role model and teacher for everyone else who has come through the doors. She says, “This place is special because it draws you in not by gimmicks or outward appearance but by making solid connections with people through the common goal of reaching out with heart to touch someone’s life for the better.”

Michele Trumble

Michele came to yoga in 2012 to complement to her dance training and stayed for the sense of inner strength and peace it brought her. She completed her RHY training in August of 2015. She uses her MFA in Dance and Choreography from UNCG to enhance her yoga teaching with a variety of movement techniques and body awareness practices. Known for her goofy, irreverent, and yet kind-hearted nature, Michele appreciates how RHY welcomes both teachers and students to bring their whole selves to their yoga. Her favorite thing about teaching yoga is to watch someone grow in their own kinesthetic experience. "It's an honor to witness my students explore, respect, and examine the capacity of their thoughts, emotions, and body". When not teaching yoga at RHY or dance at High Point University, Michele keeps her head on straight with running, poetry writing, and disc golf.

Erin Betlej

Erin’s passion, “to help people feel at home in their body, breath and spirit,” is evident in her classes at RHY and in her personal practice. She loves combining the intense physicality of hot yoga with a positive sense of self and the intentional linking of breath with movement. At RHY, Erin is grateful to have a safe and sacred space to create classes tailored to the unique bodies in the room. Even with a set sequence, she is always looking for ways to then take those beautiful bodies to the edge of their practice. When she’s not at the studio, Erin works with college students and young adults, encouraging them to claim who they are and to discover their unique gifts and passions for life. Some of Erin’s favorite things include maintaining her yoga practice, always reading, and engaging in meaningful conversations. She welcomes you to join in the journey!

Nicholas Kimps

There’s not much, from an athletic standpoint, that Nic can’t do. He is most likely going running, biking or mountain climbing after practicing in the hot room, and he’s a personal trainer, too. However, it wasn’t until he found RHY that he was able to feel comfortable and at peace in his own skin. “I had honestly never been to a place practicing yoga or fitness where I wasn’t distracted by watching others and/or critiquing form and safety.” But he committed to practicing 5-6 times a week, and like so many others, got hooked on the transformative power of hot yoga, and on the warmth and safety of a genuinely judgment-free zone. Becoming an instructor was almost a no-brainer: “Why wouldn’t I want to teach here?” He found the time, made it happen, and describes teaching as being truly life-saving. Nick loves the people at RHY, the shared meditation and practice, and seeing people “let shit go.”

Emily Rex

Emily started practicing yoga with her mom when she was 13 years old. It was a great way to learn principles of meditation and kindness towards herself and others. She has practiced in the Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Anusara, Iyengar, Vini, and Bikram traditions and currently has a steady independent practice, which includes daily meditation, asana, and classes. “Yoga helps me be kinder towards myself and others, and helps me make the world a better place through the cultivation of compassion.” Emily has been a part of the studio community since day one, as a work study, teacher, and role model in her practice, and she loves this great community of students and wonderful teachers. As an elementary special education teacher, she enjoys teaching yoga because it “makes lives better, even in a small or subtle way. I hope that through teaching yoga, people leave my class feeling a little kinder and happier.”
